Conference and Convention News, Notes and Rules
If your Lodge wants to attend any Conference and or Convention – this is what needs to be done. If you have any questions, ask your ATM or Territory Manager. Let’s make this process run smoothly. Importantly, your Lodge must be in good standing with the Association. This means per capita is paid in full, and any other outstanding funds are paid in full. (All outstanding obligations to the Association)
- Smoking and consumption of alcoholic beverages are prohibited in any meeting or event – smoking must be done only in designated areas of the Hotel – attendees must properly dispose of all butts and trash in designated containers.
- Roll Call of Lodges will include a separate call for the attendance of the Administrator and Governor (It must be the Governor and Administrator of record and not an alternate representative) – they will be individually identified before the full count of lodge attendees.
- Hospitality Rooms must operate only the hours allowed by the Association and follow all rules established by the Association. All operations must be considerate of all hotel guests.
- Hospitality Rooms shall be available only for registered members and qualified guests. Note: Nonregistered Members do not qualify as guests.
- Decorum must be maintained at all times – no action(s) by members and guests should bring any disgrace upon the Moose fraternity.
- Only LOOM members who are delegates to the Convention may make motions, seconds, and vote.
When recognizing someone for purposes of a motion or second, the Chair should ask they state their Name, Lodge, and title for the official record.
